Firstly, we would like to say a huge thank you once again, for your continued support and patience throughout the past 16 months. It has been a strange journey but finally we have reached a point that we can resume some normality from Monday 19th July.
We understand this is quite exciting for some people, however it may be an unsettling time for others. As rules start relaxing across all aspects of day-to-day life, our main priority as always is to keep members feeling safe within the health club as we ease our way back to normality.
Although most activities will be back to our pre-covid normal, we still have some small asks in place to keep you safe and feeling comfortable as we take steps forward.
Booking your Gym, Pool Session or Class
Closing times for now will remain as they are,
Weekdays, Monday to Friday 7AM – 9PM. Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm (last entry 1 hour before close).
Gym & Pool bookings.
As we have received positive feedback from many members regarding the booking and how they help with encouraging gym attendance we will still be keeping the booking system as an option. So, members as before will be able to attend the gym and pool without pre-booking but may still book if they wish. Guests will now be able to use the gym again on a pay as you go basis however, we will monitor peak times. Non members can now book sessions for the gym ONLY.
We will for now have a limit of 12 members in the pool area at any one time, however pre-covid there was rarely this many in the pool area at any one time so we are confident there will still always be availability for those not wanting to book in advance. (Non-member swim passes will still be stopped for now to help keep availability for members). We are encouraging members to still use the app to book sessions, this will allow others to see busier or quieter times. If you don’t wish to book, of course you can just turn up and check availability.
Members as before, will be required to book classes. We will be increasing the number from 10 to 15 initially in the studio and then up to 20 over the coming weeks, this is just to ease our members into busier classes. The spin studio will be increased from 12 to 16 initially and then back to 18 in the coming weeks. Guests will not be allowed to pre-book but will be able to attend only if there is availability in the class just before the start time. The studio upstairs will still be ventilated from the windows and air conditioning units. Please continue to bring your own mats where possible and wipe kit after use. The timetable will resume back to our original time with a few small changes – we will update this throughout next week. The distance markers have been removed but please be mindful of space and other members.
What other changes can I expect at the club?
Fitness Suite – We have removed the social distancing signs and all kit is back and available to use, however we ask that you are still mindful when training around other members and continue to distance where possible. The sanitising stations will remain in place and members are still required to wipe kit before and after use.
Pool Area & Changing Rooms – Social distancing signs have been removed and the steam room is back in action! Again, we ask that you be mindful of other members and share the use of the facilities dependent on demand. Hand dryers and spin dryers are back, and all lockers are available. We still encourage you to keep your distance where possible. Only 1 person at a time in both the sauna and steam and also 1 person in the Spa. We will continue to review the access over the coming weeks. For now, junior swim is still unavailable but we are expecting to have this back on the timetable soon.
Although face masks are no longer mandatory, we still encourage wearing them in communal areas. This is totally down the members discretion, and we ask people to respect other members in their choice.
Finally, we still need your help as well please
We will continue as a team with extra cleaning and sanitising. We ask that you bear with us as things change and normal services are resumed and look forward to seeing many more of our members returning.
